Dirty Thirty Update...

In honor of Throwback Thursday, I'm going to throw it back to January 2013 when I shared my plan to accept and embrace my Dirty Thirty with y'all! 

 

Let's play a little catch up for those of you who are new(er) around here!

So here is the deal, I'm going to list out 30 things, items, tasks, adventures, goals, targets - whatever you want to call them - that I want to accomplish in my 30th year here on this great place we call Earth! Awesome right, and so not overdone...HP! My items will be anything from fitness or cosmetic improvements, foods I've never tried, places I want to go, people I want to see/meet, things I want to have the balls to wear in public - pretty much whatever! I'll keep track and update as each item is scheduled and completed! Boo-ya! Sounds amazeballs, right?! I'll admit, I just thought of this concept this morning (like 10 minutes ago), so I might not list all 30 right here and now because I don't want them to be lame, ordinary and/or expected goals!

Groundhog Run 10k - January 2013

two Run a Half Marathon - I am officially registered for the Route 66 Half in November, but with the whole hip/IT Band/knee injury I'm already considered dropping to the 5k option for this one!  I've just now gotten back to 2-3 mile interval walk/runs.  I have until the 1/25/14 to accomplish this one though so I hopefully will still be able to get this done!

five Get to my pre-baby weight - This honestly seems like a never-ending battle!  I've bounced around the same 5-8 pound range since April!  I have about 15 pounds left to lose to hit this goal! To Be Continued...

ten Visit another country - Mission Accomplished!  The Husband and I spent 8 days, 7 nights in Cancun, Mexico for my brother's wedding the end of April!  It was a much needed and amazing vacation!

twenty-one Do a Tough Mudder - I actually have TWO Tough Mudders coming up and I'm scared shit less!  First one is next Saturday 9/21 in Topeka, KS and the second one is 10/26 in Dallas, TX!

 

 

twenty-two Go to my FIRST ever KC Chiefs NFL game - We are going to the Chiefs versus Cowboys game this Sunday for our anniversary!  Boom!

 

twenty-three Meet my TWINIE Kassie from Southern Girl Gets Fit!

Football!  I'm not a huge football fanatic, especially like the NFL - I'm from Kansas and the Chiefs suck - but I do love me some college football!  Probably not the colleges you think of though...have you heard of Pittsburg State University? PSU? Gus the Gorilla?  No...well, that's where I went to college and it's where I still live today and let me tell you what, Pitt knows how to TAILGATE...in The Jungle no less!  Eek!  It's so fun!

My new dermatologist, well, actually his PA!  I had my first appointment with today and I already love her!  She is putting me on an antibiotic to prevent breakouts (which really isn't my main concern/problem but I'm game), prescribed a cream to use at night to help fade the dark spots (my main concern/problem) and the best part - she did a 15% TCA Peel today!  I'm so excited to see how much better my skin can look over the next 6 months!  Squeal! Eek!

 

FOUR

Blowdrying Norah Jane's Hair! We never used to dry her hair, no clue why just didn't!  Well the other night the kids were at daycare late and had dinner and their baths before I picked them up...Tonya said something about blowdrying Bean's hair and how she loved it and I was all "say what!?"  I've dried the past 2 nights and I love it!  She loves it!  It's our new "thing"!!

Preschool!  Jack started 4 year old preschool this week!  He will go 2 days a week, T/Th!  I was a little worried how he would do after the open house last week, but he surprised me at drop off Tuesday!  He was excited and ready to PLAY!  He went right in and took charge!  I sure do LOVE that boy...even though he dropped the "Hands In Aca-Bitches!" on me the other night!  LOL.

I've been tagged FOUR times, can you believe I've only been tagged four times? I'm Darci Spear, dammit, and since the first one I've planned to turn it into a blog post because seriously, typing that much shit on my iPhone might make me go the F off!  Damn iPhone...why does it autocorrect all my naughty words, but never fix the acceptable words that don't make any gosh dang sense?  I digress...thank you very much to Sienna @notyoucupoftea809, Wendy @chitowngirrl, Bethany @themrscicero and Casie @thisfairytalelife for tagging me as one of your FAVORITE!

Then, just when you think the fun is over Ashlee at Iseminger Chronicles threw this imaginary torch my way for "Six Things About Me" - don't ask me where this came from or who started it because I gots No Nancy Clue.

Let's get this show on the road, without further aduie I give you my version of the 20 Facts & Six Random Ass Questions About Me!  Who wants to pass this shit on?  Anyone?  It's got a super catchy title?  I know you are all raising your virtual hands so just go ahead and pimp it out if you want, I won't be mad atcha ya!

Let's start with the FACTS shall we?

1. I'm Thirty and One-Half Years Old...which means I still use not only halves, but also quarters when anyone asks my age.
2. If it ain't a chip, taco shell or crab rangoon...I don't want to be hearing nothing in my food crunch...like nothing!
3. My first vehicle was a 1989 Blue Plymouth Sundance...I wrecked it!
4. I have one brother, Derek, who is 18 months older than me...women tend to find him particuarly attractive - I don't, but otthers do.  To each their own as I always say...
5. I am 5' 3.5" inches tall, but I like to say I'm 5' 4"...it makes me feel better about my height to weight ratio.
6. I grew up in a small(er) town and had about 160 kids in my graduating class.
7. I'm smart!  Like for real, I'm book ass smart!
8. My second vehicle was a 1993 Black Geo Tracker...I wrecked it!
9. I'm half Sexy Mexi and half White Girl...My brother and I look like my Dad, my Mom has blond hair/blue eyes.
10. I never ever wanted to have children, like even up until I was pregnant...I don't like kids, like in general and I have ZERO patience!
11. In high school I played volleyball (setter), basketball (point guard), track (ran 200m, high jumped and triple jumped - this Bitch has some hops), was a Mat Maid and a cheerleader.
12. My first BF was my first EVERYTHING (well other than kissing)...you know what I mean!  And yes, I was too damn young for all of that...
13. My third vehicle was a 1997 Maroon 4-door Ford Escort...It got wrecked! Hit and Run when it was parked in front of my house, totalled that Bitch!
14. When I was 15, I got two MIP's two months apart - the first one I was even handcuffed and taken to the slammer police station office and had to call my Mom.
15. My family's enchilada recipe (it's a secret) calls for PICKLES!  But you can't taste them!
16. I've lived in 5 different cities/towns in my life...all of them were in KS...it's like an elephant dart to the public's face...*name that movie*
17. My fourth vehicle was a 1996 Maroon Saturn Something...I should have wrecked it!
18. Three of my best IRL girlfriends are Chelsea, Chelsi and Chelse...not kidding...
19. I danced in the annual Mexican Fiesta from 4 years old until I was 12 years old...this is why I can claim the Red Salsa Dancer Girl as MY EMOTICON!
20. The average life of the vehicles I've owned (9 total) is 1.73 years...I really need to look into leasing!

Never flying the KS coupe and living wild and free after college, even if just for a year...

[TWO] How did you and your significant other meet?
I'll give you the short version, but I think this could be a fun link-up to do in the future...We met my last semester of college in night class, he was a total rebound from my BF of 2+ years that I lived with, that decided to cheat on me over Spring Break with the town WHORE.  I bet you want to hear more, huh?  See...link-up!

[THREE]  What is your guilty pleasure?
Spending a day sans kids and The Husband, laying on the couch watching Chick Flicks while eating McD's and following up with an Oreo (extra Oreos) Sonic Blast...

[FOUR] What is one thing that makes your blood boil?
Let me give it to you straight, I could easily give you 100 things right now that just piss me the F off, but you only asked for one...hmm...I'm going to go with Shitty Ass MoFo Drivers!  Who agrees?

[FIVE] What is your most embarassing moment?
I'm thinking...Probably my senior year of HS when these ass-hat Freshman managed to come across a note from my BF at the time that I had lost/dropped.  Not embarassing enough?  How about the fact that they then proceeded to photocopy said note and hand out one morning to everyone as they arrived at school?  Yeah, it sucked balls!  And yes, the note said shit you definitely wouldn't want photocopied...use your imagination...

[SIX] What is your biggest blog pet peeve?
I'm going to get murdered for this...but the non-stop "Pimp'n" of your sponsors...I just don't get it!  I don't get having sponsors in general really!  I just like blogging when I want to, not because I have to because someone gave me money...you know?  Just my opinion!

It's Over! #60inSixty...

Woohoo! It's been 60-Sixty-SixZero long days, but we've made it and I couldn't be more excited about how many miles this great group of ladies logged!  You ready for this?  Together, we've managed to rack up 4,897 miles!  That is freaking AWESOME! 

 

Remember, Vanessa at Ruffles With Love is gifting the Top 3 Milers with one of her super cute "Crushed It" tanks!  Totally fitting because these women litterally crushed the 60 mile goal!  There were alot of ladies that did, the Top 12 Milers all had over 100 miles!  Overall, we had 37 Milers that met the 60 miles or more goal within the 60 days!  So exciting!  Now, the reason I know you all came over this morning...the final miles!  Check it out!
