Friday Quickie...

It's Friday!  Can I get a "Hell Yeah!" ??

It's been a whirlwind of a week!  My Boss was back in the office this week (he moved out to his Phoenix house in October) so work was crazy busy with meetings, meetings and more meetings!

This week has been full of some exciting stuff...

Bean took her official first steps this past Sunday!  It was so cute and so funny!  She is starting to get a little braver as the week has gone by but still really will only walk from one "thing" to another that are only say five feet apart or so.

The same night Norah started steppin' it out...Jack started beating her up!  Jealous, much?  I think he suddenly felt threatened by her mobility.

I made it to the Y on Monday and got my 5 miles in... I was pretty proud of myself.  Holly and I made a 5 mile lunch pact - someone didn't hold up their end of the deal, but I won't name names...

So my 30th birthday is just around the corner (next Friday) and The Husband is coming though big time... a treadmill and a new pair of running kicks!  Yay, me!  I just got the notice that the treadmill arrived at Walmart (Site to Store) and we are going to pick it up tomorrow!

Watch for the surprise at the end... This boy is outta control!  Just this morning he asked if he could watch the "Funny Movie" tonight (aka Pitch Perfect) and I was said "Maybe..."  He replied with, "Please, Momma! I love Fat Amy!  She is so funny, Momma!  I really like Fat Amy!"  Like what 3 year old knows who "Fat Amy" is?!  I about died!

I ombre'd my hair last Saturday and surprisingly I love it so far!  It's so subtle that I can still wear it straight without looking like a freak, but it's also definitely a noticeable change.  I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

Jack has been Polar Bear Hunting...

And Elephant Hunting this week!

And I went back to BANGS!  I'm still debating.  I kind of love them, kind of hate them.  I always love the look, but I hate messing with them and having to constantly have them trimmed.  Because eventually I end up trimming them myself and it all goes to hell!

They are actually a bit long and if I just give it like 2 weeks, they are cut perfect for a super cute scoop bang...we'll see.

Tomorrow night is my big ThreeZero birthday party!  It should be a good time.  If you want to watch me go from classy and sassy to drunk and dumb follow me on Instagram: @darci_spear.

Have a great weekend! xoxo

ps - the leopard scarf and sequins elbow patch top are both from Hazel and Olive Boutique! www.hazelandolive.com

  2. Oh my gosh, she's so stinkin adorable! I love the bangs; I wish I was that brave. You look great in them; I'm scared of what I might look like with them though! 5 miles, that's awesome. Now my 1.5 miles sounds pitiful lol!

  5. I love the bangs! I've actually been thinking about doing that myself...but I'm not sure I can rock it. If you wear your hair curly do you still straighten them? Since my hair is so curly I'm wondering if it would look silly on me or not.
